How to become successful in your industry, once it’s online!

How are you from the last time you read my blog?

If you are new, welcome to my blog!

Some people have been tremendously supportive on my journey to becoming successful online, and so I wanted to share some of these lessons I have learned. I have put together 10 tips that you can use in your industry for you to be successful as well.

Don’t forget to check the sidebar and footer of this website for awesome resources!

recommended online successful tips

Tips I have learned over the course of my journey to get your business going.

♥ When you are branding your business, make sure all platforms have the same font size, colour, images as well as the same theme across all social media platforms.

♥ If you prefer to use a particular social media platform use 3 that you mainly want to focus on and divide each with about 30 minutes of your time engaging with prospects and sharing content. Another useful tip is to always be mostly engaged on off-peak times.

♥ If you do not have a website, you can create a Facebook business page, start putting yourself out there by adding value and not to spam other person’s group. No matter if you are in the fashion or coaching industry when you decide to invest in a website, WordPress is the way to go. It’s ranking with being found on Google is far way better than the other platforms, and it’s free.

♥ If you are going to do an AD, make sure you have an opt-in for your ideal clients and before the opt-in, make sure you have an autoresponder to build your list.

♥ Whether you blog, share or nowhere to be seen, get yourself out there by giving value, even though this may be similar to number 2. You can start off by writing and sharing your expertise this can be done by way of video, using the social media platforms that offer you to record yourself doing a tutorial such as Periscope, or even a simple video tip. Whichever way, it’s always best to let others know you are an expert, even if you think no one is looking. When the time is right, you will appreciate that you have started somewhere.

♥ Don’t sell your services or products to prospective clients on the first meeting. When you decide to do so is entirely up to you, but I would have hated if each time I came across you, I was being pitched to. Show them you care and add value and benefit by being outside of the box. Being helpful and supportive goes a long way, more so than making a quick buck. It’s better to build relationships than services.

♥ Just because your business is online does not mean that your services/products will have to be online. Get yourself out there and network with others in your industry, even with those who are your ideal clients. “Building relationships here again”.

♥ Sharing is caring; you do not have to limit yourself to only being an expert in your industry if your clients can benefit from another service that someone you know offers; you can mention this in a post or even allow that person to guest post on your blog.

♥ Always be in a supportive group where you can learn and grow in your industry. Chances are, you are the only one in your family at present who is working online. Even though your family might get this, they do not understand its entirety. It’s always a great idea to be in a group or community with others who are experiencing the same issues as you are. Don’t be afraid to share, as you might inspire someone who was on your journey a year ago, also learning new trends and courses are always essential to be successful in this business.

♥ Lastly, self-care, you would have thought that this will be the first one for you, but I know you are always taking care of others and you are last on the list, but yet you know that if you do not take care of you, you will suffer, the business will suffer, the household will suffer…we can go on and on with this but it’s best in the beginning of your business to start scheduling those days for you, whether it will mean that on Mondays you will go to the hairdresser to do you, do it with no hesitation.

It was nice of you to stop by.

Until then, happy hiring, and best wishes with your business.

Work less and create passive income for your business

How are you from the last time you read my blog?

If you are new, welcome to my blog!

You know that as an online business owner, there are times when there will not be any income coming in unless you have long-term, consistent monthly clients. If so, and you know this is not the case for your business; it’s best to create some opportunities for passive income for your business.

Why you need passive income for your business?

You might be asking, what’s this passive income about? It’s the extra income that you use to earn passively when it’s not really your main income. This can be in the form of creating an additional income other than your main source of income.

What you choose to make this passive income is really up to you. I have created my passive income by creating additional courses that will take the form of an e-book or a video tutorial. I can sell this course over and over again without making any effort and that’s one way of creating passive income, without doing anything.

create passive income for your business

You can create as many options for passive income!

Another main way of creating passive income is through affiliate marketing.

This is actually allowing other persons to purchase a product or service through your unique ID that you sign up with.

Each time someone signs up to buy that product, you earn a percentage of that income and that is actually another way of creating income passively. There are numerous ways that you can think of creating income that you do not need to do much work for. One is teaching a course through a webinar or even a video course. It really depends on what platform works for you and how you want to deliver that work to earn the additional income.

There are numerous ways that you can think of creating income that you do not need to do much work for. One is teaching a course through a webinar or even a video course. It really depends on what platform works for you and how you want to deliver that work to earn the additional income.

But do not limit yourself to those days when you will not be earning any money besides your main source of income. What I normally do on my off days is learn something new as well as creating those PDF guides that I need to use as passive income.

Use blogging as another passive income for your business.

Another income generator is blogging for money. There are numerous sites where you can become a guest and they actually pay you to blog for them. Even online owners need content consistently, so if you are a writer who is passionate about writing one way is to present your written words to your audience. This is another method for you to create income such as blogging for profit.

Another favourite of mine….

One of my favourite platforms is signing up to stock photo sites and this can take the form of affiliate marketing, where you promote their site and allow others to sign up using your unique link. As an online business owner, your individual preference is based on what will work for you and your business at this time.

I am recommending my favourite virtual assistant site to you.

Now I want to recommend a platform that I like to use a lot as a virtual assistant. Why recommend this platform to you? It’s a FREE forum that has a one stop shop for VA related news, services, rates, job board and also how to hire a VA and if not, how to become a VA yourself.

You might also know of someone who can benefit from such services on how to be a VA. I know it did come in handy when I was starting my virtual assistant business online. You can learn so much information and did I mention that they offer FREE resources and information right at your fingertips!

Now that you know that you can make passive income, from using affiliate marketing, blogging for business and signing up with stock photos sites to make extra cash. I hope you do get the rewards that you have worked so hard on.

It was nice of you to stop by.

Until then, happy hiring, and best wishes with your business.

10 / 20 / 16 5 / 15 / 18

How are you from the last time you read my blog?

If you are new, welcome to my blog!

◊This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.◊

Today I am sharing 5 tools that I absolutely can’t live without as a virtual assistant. These are tools that I use in my business on a daily basis and that I think will be great to be recommended as well, these tools will help you to make your work life so much easier for you to manage.

◊This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.◊

My favorite tools that I recommend you have in your online business!

These are a breakdown of the 5 tools that I will be talking about:

  • LastPass
  • Asana
  • Grammarly
  • Evernote
  • Dropbox

Don’t forget to check the sidebar and footer of this website for awesome resources!

5 must have free online tools

LastPass is the online tool you must have in your online business!

I was introduced to this tool when I attended a webinar and was so amazed by this software because as the name suggests, it’s a tool that manages and stores all your passwords.

I have to work on numerous clients’ case sensitive information and I really appreciate the invention of using this tool, because I loved it so much I started to use it in my business.

Now you can use it to store strong passwords for your emails, websites that you visit frequently as well as banking information. Use LastPass to help you create strong passwords, and it automatically lets you log in when you visit a saved site from the LastPass vault.

Asana is the online tool you must have in your online business!

Asana does it best! You can use this platform to schedule a specific task. This can cover the week or for the whole month.

Now how can you use Asana in your business? You can manage your personal projects for the day, the week or month, and it does come in handy when you need to have a reminder to do specific tasks for each hour of the day.

Asana is also useful in creating projects and also allows you to collaborate with team members and track the progress of a client’s work, it’s beneficial to use depending if you use it as a personal reminder to keep track of tasks you want to accomplish or to allow your clients to see the progress of their task, when you are completing it.

I highly recommend it, because I know you are living a busy life and you want tools in place to make your life simpler throughout the day.

I should point out that I just really love seeing the unicorn icon when I complete a task, hope you do too.

Grammarly is the online tool you must have in your online business!

Get your Grammar in check with Grammarly From the moment your computer starts, you want to make sure that Grammarly is in place to help you as a second pair of eyes for when you need to send off those email messages, even when you are creating content for your blog.

The #1 Writing Tool

Now I am not eliminating the fact that you should outsource this task if it’s not a strong point for you, I still get a third opinion from another human being. I do recommend Grammarly because it does check and keep your grammar in place if you are a LadyPreneur on a budget!

Evernote is the online tool you must have in your online business!

You might be wondering what Evernote is and why it will be beneficial to use in your business every day or on a need basis.

Yes, Evernote is a little life savior you can say goodbye to bookmarking when you visit pages in the past and tag pages by search or even label them by notes.

You might be saying how can this come in handy, well back then when you use to bookmark a page, the only way you could search for a page is if you visit that page often or even remember the name!

When using numerous pages per day or even the week, how can you keep track of such pages? This is where Evernote comes in and the beauty is when you do tag and clip a page it stays forever.

Dropbox is the online tool you must have in your online business!

I use Dropbox to save all my clients’ work and information. It’s simple; you can create numerous folders and all Dropbox does is automatically sync and update your clients’ information once you save it in the Dropbox folder on your computer or when you sign into the site.

You will have to create an account with the site in order to save your clients’ information. You can also use Dropbox for even your personal files. This tool will be useful for you because you can, at any time store all your documents, invoices, blog content ideas in Dropbox.

This can also be used to store and back up information on your site if it needs to be saved somewhere. Thought that was hard? Now go through all those information that you have been using for yourself such as files, content, you can even suggest to your clients’ to store their information via this software, and the beauty of it is if you do not need to download such information it can be easily shared via a link.

Now that you have seen my 5 everyday tools that I cannot live without, share in the comments below your must-have tools, and let’s see how these tools can help increase productivity in your business and benefit your clients’ lives.

It was nice of you to stop by.

Until then, happy hiring, and best wishes with your business.
