Gain your first Facebook followers with these steps

Gain your first facebook followers

I literally created my Facebook business page on Sunday December 28, 2015.

I just wanted to put myself out there and make others know that my business page existed.

I was somewhat afraid because I was always seeing persons making offers on how to gain your first 100 followers and this included paid offers.

You do not always have to follow the crowd to be a success.

I was aware that Facebook allows you to do Facebook Ads, mind you, you can gain your followers organically as well, so when I created JuliVAGlobal Facebook business page, the first thing that I did was to grow my audience organically.

How I did this was inviting my friends from my profile to like my page.

I will share the back story of why I decided to invite my friends. When I was in numerous Facebook groups and I made connections with other entrepreneurs and bloggers, I kept sawing a trend that at the end of a conversation they all invited me to like their page or to follow up with updates.

At the time I had no website or Facebook page to ask them to do the same so all I did was liked their page and kept in touch when I had the availability.

Now when I did launch my Facebook page I created a post on my profile asking my friends to like my new business page.

I was not expecting one like, but when I got the opportunity to invite my friends. Most of them commented their links and invited me to like their page as well, but the likelihood was that in most instances that I had in fact liked their page already.

I also used the feature on my page to invite my friends to like my page. …within the hour I gained 53 likes.

I was totally blown away and so I continued to invite my friends, this overlapped into the following day it was 88 then within two days it was a total of 100.

how I gained 100 followers

By the end of about February I was close to 500 organic page likes.

If you are a LadyPreneur on a budget you can still grow your Facebook page.

Now why am I sharing this? You can invite your friends first which is considered organically.

I did this by inviting my friends from my Facebbook profile. Another way how I continued to grow my business page was in Facebook groups where they had threads to engage and tell others about your business.

I go more in depth on how I use Facebook to maximize my business. You can read the complete post by clicking the link here.

The thing is if you want to grow your audience to reach specific people or in the business world- your ideal clients to know more about your business and your services then I recommend FB Ads to promote let’s say a post about a free guide or maybe an event.

This will work in your favor because I know that these individuals will be the ones who you target and they will be more engaged as opposed to those friends who you have invited organically.

With the continuous changes of Facebook algorithms this will come into factor once you decide to use Facebook Ads for your business. As with my recommendations, I always suggest that you outsource such a task to a trained professional who will show you in depth results of their success with past clients.

While these two methods are useful in growing your Facebook business page (Organic & Paid likes) it will be vital to the start and the continuation of your business, it’s no excuse to not get your business out there.

Start off by inviting your friends to like your page, also join groups where you know you can add meaningful value and make great connections as well so that you can invite these persons as well to like your page organically.

As your business continue to grow, when it’s in your budget to do paid Ads to reach your ideal clients, this is another method of growing your audience and keeping them engage with your products and services.

I would like to know what method you used to grow your Facebook business page?

It was nice of you to stop by.

Until then, happy hiring, and best wishes with your business.

How I answered a question from a prospective client

How are you from the last time you read my blog?

If you are new, welcome to my blog!

I wanted to share some questions that I get asked a lot.

You might be asking these questions as well, but you are not sure how to?

Here I share what one prospective client asked and how I answered them.

Don’t forget to check the sidebar and footer of this website for awesome resources!

prospective client question

I will answer your burning questions in depth.

Question number 1: I know that all VA’s are different, what’s the difference?

All virtual assistants are different in terms of their services they offer, as well as their skill sets.

There are two main types of a virtual assistant. A virtual assistant can specialize in technical and or both administrative support.

A general virtual assistant starting rate can start from $25-$30 per hour while a specialized VA can start from as much as $75-$100.

Question number 2: What would be a good starter package for someone who is starting out to hire a virtual assistant (VA)?

I appreciate your question.

The difference between someone who is just starting out vs a seasoned entrepreneur is really not far off because eventually, both entrepreneurs will need the services of a VA.

What I always recommend to a prospective client is to list those services that you need assistance with first.

When you do and your VA offers a consultation then you can ask questions about how he/she does business. Click here for your FREE 15 minutes consultation with me.

I know that one of the issues that person’s face is how can a VA do such task for me when I have been doing this for X amount of time.

You can start off by doing a video tutorial or writing the instructions down in a word document and sharing that file via Google Drive, Dropbox or LastPass once you know what you want assistance with, this instruction or guide can be used over and over again.

A good starter package that I recommend to new clients is starting small. Let’s say that you find your social media scheduling too time-consuming to attend to, you can allow your VA to assist you with this task on a one-day basis or for the week. This will determine the outcome of your final decision.

Question number 3: How would someone know what they need in a VA?

An entrepreneur cannot do it all, and you will know what is taking you away from your business, either it is managing your social media channels or administrative tasks that you do not like doing.

You are interested in the services but still want to know more.

Question number 4: How can someone who is still “getting started” have a VA to help them out while they are growing?

I would say no matter what stage of your business you will need the assistance of a virtual assistant.

In terms of knowing if A VA will be the right fit for you, get a feel of this VA by getting on their consultation call ask for testimonials from other clients as well as if you have realized that this VA will be a right fit.

The next thing I recommend is to do a small task that you know will not take much effort, in other words, this will be a trial period, but the goal is to find out how the VA will work with you and the task that you gave him/her.

When this is completed I agree that you still continue to take baby steps until you are comfortable with passing on these tasks that are taking you too much time away from your business.

In most cases from the first consultation, a client can know straight away if they will work with a VA in the near future, and base on the services that you know are taking you away from things that you do not like, you are able to outsource to your new VA.

From experience, I know that a virtual assistant will devise a plan and what it really will take is for you to agree on how best it will fit for your business at this time

Question number 5: For a more seasoned professional – what needs would be different from someone who’s just starting?

To answer your question it really depends on the services that you will need at the time for you to work with a general VA or a technical VA.

More importantly, before you consider working with a VA they normally offer consultations, this is where you can ask the questions that you need to know if such a VA will be a right fit for you and your business.

As your business grows you know that there is something that is taking you away from focusing on what you love doing.

This is where you know that you are trying to micromanage everything and you are getting burned out on tasks that are taking you way too much time on missed opportunities for your business, such as marketing of your business, increasing your clientele and your income.

If this sounds like you, you should definitely get the assistance of a VA. For a complete FAQ on hiring and working with a virtual assistant, I suggest you read these more detailed questions by clicking on the FAQ page.

It was nice of you to stop by.

Until then, happy hiring, and best wishes for your business.

Today I wanted to share one of the many opportunities that I had awhile back when I started online.

I had the opportunity to guest post on a fellow LadyPreneur who specializes in assisting women to speak directly to their ideal clients.

I have been featured and wrote my first online love letter.

Kristen allowed me to write a love letter to my ideal clients stating how I could assist them with their problems as well as the services I can offer to solve those problems.

I wanted to share this with you here; you can have a look at the post HERE

The reason why I am sharing this with you is that it’s imperative to know from day one who your ideal client is, as well as specific demographics such as their age, status, where they live, as much as their income and more importantly their pain points.

This is summed up as a client avatar and yes it’s a lot to do, but this is the easy part for you because once you do know whom your ideal client is, it’s so much easier for you to market to them.

The funny thing is that when I was working on a freelancing platform I was assisting many individuals from different industries. I was working with both males and females, their profession included Motivational Speakers,

I was working with both males and females, their profession included Motivational Speakers, Authors, and even Coaches.

The mistake I made was thinking that because I was working with these individuals it would be easier for me to work for these persons once my business was launched.

Know your audience so you can help them!

Was I so wrong, I was all over the place trying to market to these individuals and offering value to the wrong market. Now, this opportunity could not have come at a right time, because I was introduced by another VA who showed me how to do my client Avatar.

Having done my client avatar now, I saw the opportunity to guest post on Kristen’s blog showcasing who I was and who my ideal clients were.

You can have a look here for what I wrote to my IDEAL CLIENT.

You are also welcome to learn more about Kristen Free guide on how to define your dream client.

Hope this was helpful for you, no matter what industry that you are in, doing a client avatar is one way in being specific to who you want to offer your services to as well as marketing to him/her directly.

By the way, can you guess who my dream client is? Let me know who yours is as well?

It was nice of you to stop by.

Until then, happy hiring, and best wishes with your business.
