What If I Can’t Find A Business Mentor?

7 / 30 / 19

If you are new, welcome to my blog!

Starting a business is one of the most liberating feelings in the world. But, at the same time, it is also one of the most stressful experiences you can make. Building a successful business doesn’t happen overnight. For many enthusiastic entrepreneurs, the way forward is to find a mentor you can trust. Your mentor acts as a compass when you’re lost and confused, showing you the way to establish and grow your business as a newcomer.

Unfortunately, finding a mentor can prove tricky. Even if you manage to identify relevant experts for your business niche, there is no guarantee they will accept to teach you how to become an entrepreneur.

Can you succeed without a mentor? It’s going to be a long and challenging learning process to create your first company without the benefit of knowledge and experience. But there are thankfully a few tips you can use to replace your mentor!

Don’t forget to check the sidebar and footer of this website for awesome resources!

You can find inspiration in true stories

Ultimately, a mentor is someone who has already made all the mistakes and who can teach you how to avoid falling in the same traps. You’d be surprised to discover that there is plenty of valuable business podcast material that lets entrepreneurs tell their stories.

You don’t need to get to know them to learn from them! Tune in to the podcasts that interest you, and you’re likely to find all the inspiration you need!

You can use reliable tools to do the hard work

You can’t replace experience, but you can replace know-how by smart tools. As a solo entrepreneur, finding solutions that let you get organised by doing all the hard work while you can focus on running your business is the best thing you can do.

From managing your invoicing system in a click to keeping track of your to-do lists with a task management tool, you can make sure you can concentrate your energy on what you do best, while the business effectively runs itself!

Network, network, network; you’ll always learn something

Networking is the most critical skill you need to develop as an entrepreneur. Not only does it help you to get in touch with potential suppliers and partners, but it’s also a fantastic way of meeting like-minded business people who are going through the same difficulties.

LinkedIn is a great place to start reaching out to professionals. But take a look at the events listed on Meetup and 4Networking too! You can learn valuable tips from entrepreneurs who are already established. More importantly, you can find people to talk to when you’re feeling lonely and lost.

Have you tried asking?

Your mentor is someone you can call when you’ve got a business-related question. But there are plenty of people online who are ready to help you and share their knowledge. All you need to do is ask.

Reddit, for instance, has many business subreddits such as entrepreneur and BusinessHub, where you can ask for advice or share your challenges with other users.

Similarly, there is no shame in venting on social media when things get too hard. Entrepreneurship can be a lonely path, but it’s up to you to reach out to find support!

No mentor? No problem! Who needs a mentor when there are so many valuable resources available to new entrepreneurs?

From business success stories to helpful admin tools, you don’t have to build your company alone.

It was nice of you to stop by.

Remember, if you need help, you can ask me by clicking here

Until then, happy hiring, and best wishes for your business.

Why Your Sales Performance Lacks Punch

Selling is at the core of your business. It’s what you do – and if you don’t do it, your business won’t survive. But there’s a problem: very few, if any of us, learn how to sell in school.

The modern education system doesn’t teach us any of the principles that we need to know to convince other human beings that what we have to sell will help them in some way.

When you think about it, this is a travesty. If you want to have a successful adult life, you need to be able to sell to provide an income for yourself. If you sell your labor, you have to make yourself attractive to future employers, making it clear to them the value that you offer.

If you sell to customers, you have to be able to overcome their “pain points” and explain to them why they should buy your product. It’s anything but straightforward yet schools don’t teach it.

Take a look at these reasons why your sales performance lacks punch.

You Don’t Listen To Your Customers

Customers tell you what they think about your products all the time when they buy them. The more a particular customer buys, the more you know you’re doing something right.

The problem is that the vast majority of people in business enjoy good customers when they come along, but they don’t ask them why they keep coming back. The reasons they give are essential: they tell you how you should pitch your products to the next customer.

You’re Not Training For Cold Calls

Cold calling is one of the most challenging sales techniques out there, according to Powercall Training . So it’s surprising that the vast majority of firms don’t even engage in basic training. Cold calling, like anything else in marketing, is a specific skill, and you need people on your team who understand it intimately.

You could end up wasting an enormous amount of time calling people without getting anywhere or making any sales. Training shows you some of the common mistakes and gives you a clear idea of what quality cold calling marketing looks like .

You Haven’t Defined A Clear Mission

Selling is all about convincing people that it’s worth their while handing over their money to consume your product or service.

But to make your value proposition clear, you have to have a clearly defined and compelling mission. If you don’t, then both you and your customers will wonder what it is that you’re trying to do.

The job of a car salesperson is easy: their tasks is to get customers set up with a car and hope to sign an agreement and buy it. But if you’re selling a range of software products, your sales process might look a lot more complicated, especially if you run a B2B company.

It’s crucial, therefore, to have the reason for your sales in the back of your mind at all times. You should have a clearly defined mission, and your sales decisions need to reflect that.

It was nice of you to stop by.

Different Forms Of Print Marketing

In today’s post, I am going to take a look at the many different ways that you can market your business effectively using print. So, let’s get started…

Don’t forget to check the sidebar and footer of this website for awesome resources!

Product packaging marketing

There is only one place to begin, and this is with product packaging marketing. After all, you need to choose packaging with care to ensure that your items stand out from all of the others in store.

There are so many different types of packaging to select from in this regard, including the likes of stand up pouches , which have become very popular. When it comes to product design, you need to make sure you go for something bold and effective, yet your packaging should always be a clear representation of your brand image.

Also, you need to consider health and safety too, especially if you are selling food items. This is why aligning with an experienced company is so critical.

Postcard printing

Postcards printing is something that all businesses should consider. This is a fun, effective, and cost-efficient approach to marketing. Postcards are cheap to produce, and this is one of the key benefits associated with them.

When compared with broadcasting marketing, printed newspaper and magazine adverts, and other forms of printed marketing, you really can make your money go further. One of the key benefits linked with postcards over the likes of flyers and brochures is the fact that postcards are unique.

This unusual design is something that will create a lasting impression and it can be particularly effective for the younger demographic. A lot of businesses also use postcards when they are sending their customer’s special offers, and this is why they have a higher perceived value.

Promotions and voucher codes work really well, encouraging people to spend when they probably wouldn’t have. They can also be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home – a less intrusive environment.

People can pick up the postcard once it has been posted through their door, place it on their table, and then read it at a time that is suitable for them. Not all forms of advertising offer this opportunity.

Custom letterhead printing

Online letterhead printing services are something that all businesses should consider. While custom letterheads may not brand your business in the same way that a poster or a brochure does, this does not mean they do not have a massive impact.

One of the main benefits of investing in this service is the fact that you will increase brand awareness. Whenever you send direct mail to existing or prospective clients, you will reassert your brand identity. People will be able to identify your business accurately simply from the letter and envelope you have used.

This will ensure your brand is consistent and it will have a positive impact on your level of recognition. After all, branding is everything nowadays; from our websites to business cards, everything needs to be in line with one and other. Letterheads are also great for establishing a level of professionalism and credibility.

Things like this can increase customers’ level of trust in your business, as it shows you off in a sophisticated light. It can also help you to build customer loyalty. This is also a great way of separating yourself from the competition in the industry. If other businesses in your sector do not use customized letterheads, it makes your business look like the most professional and trusted option. It also shows that you have an extra level of care and attention to detail in everything you do.

Large format banner printing

Large format banner printing is the solution that most people turn to when they want to advertise outdoors. This is an extremely effective way of getting your message across, whether you are looking to advertise a sale you have running in-store or you want to drum up attention for an upcoming event. But, what is it about outdoor advertising that makes it so successful?

There are many benefits to be gained by investing in banner printing for outdoor use. Firstly, you will be able to access consumers that are traditionally hard to reach, as there are no limitations when advertising outside. This includes the likes of business people, people in low-income areas, and so on.

This ability to target your audience effectively is extremely important. You can target a specific city or any area based on income, age, or anything else that defines your target consumer base. You also benefit from 24-hour advertising, as outdoor marketing cannot be ‘turned off’.

This extends the life of your marketing campaign. In addition to this, outdoor advertising is reported in other media, which gives you even more exposure. If you have a highly creative campaign, you can expect it to be picked up on by local news agencies and such like. After all, your banner is going to be in the public domain.

There has been plenty of research to back up the fact that consumers react will to outdoor advertising as well. Banners can become a talking point between friends and colleagues, again enchaining their impact.

As you can see, there are a number of different options you can choose from when it comes to marketing your business with print marketing services today. However, there is no denying that the four that have been mentioned in this post are some of the best.

It was nice of you to stop by.
